PEAP Participant Benefits

 

  The Pilot Export Assistance Program (PEAP) was created by SBI to directly assist small and medium size entrepreneurs (SMEs) seeking to enter or expand in the Global Export Market.

 

   In assisting businesses seeking to enter the Global Export Market, PEAP participants receive consultations and assistance from a group of SBI Sherpa Specialists who are well versed in the various disciplines of exporting. The Sherpa Specialists work closely with businesses, leading and assisting them through the necessary steps to enter exporting. Additionally, the Specialist may recommend to the businesses management that they seek assistance or further knowledge, from current programs and services of the Department of Commerce, the Export-Import Bank and the Small Business Administration to help them move forward toward exporting.

 

The SBI PEAP program directly leads and assists PEAP participants into the Global Export Market or channels them to programs that will improve their progress toward the goal of entering the Global Export Market.

 

SBI-PEAP Business Participants Receive

 

• A unique electronic assessment of the business’ readiness to enter the Global Export Market 

• An evaluation and screening of the business’ product(s) or service(s) to determine their exportability 

• A determination of the business’ ability to produce, properly staff and finance the added export sales
